The Social Inclusion Unit and the Institute for Teaching and Learning are offering five scholarships of $1000 to support Widening Participation Grant holders to attend the forthcoming Social Inclusion in Tertiary Education Conference 29 &30 May 2012 in Melbourne: http://inclusionintertiaryed.com<http://inclusionintertiaryed.com/>/


The aim of the scholarships is to support staff professional development that is aligned with key objectives in widening participation of low-SES students at the University, and to promote the discussion and dissemination of information on social inclusion initiatives within faculty's.


These scholarships are a part contribution for Widening Participation Grant holders to attend.
We have negotiated a further discounted price for five delegates to attend the conference- the fees for the two day conference excluding the workshops is $1889.10 (+GST).

You must be a recipient of a University of Sydney Widening Participation Grant to be eligible to apply.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in time to apply for additional funding from other sources.
Additional Scholarships are being awarded by Criterion, the conference organiser if faculty funds are not available, these applications close 1 May 2012 and there is a separate application for this funding option, please contact me directly for further information and an application form.
