Research Scholarships
PhD Scholarship in Nutritional Epidemiology
Funding is available for a full-time qualified PhD student interested in researching the relationship between macronutrient intake and longevity and frailty in older men. Applicants must have a Masters degree in nutrition and dietetics, be members of the Dietitians Association of Australia and be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens. Funding is valued at $25,000 per annum (tax exempt) for up to three years.

The Epidemiology of cancer in Australian farmers
Full-time PhD funding is available for a student with a Masters degree in public health, or other health related disciplines, to study of cancer related issues in Australian farmers. Applicants should have knowledge of farming and agriculture and experience in data management and interpretation in respect to the health of farming populations. The position will be based at the Australian Centre for Agricultural Health and Safety in Moree NSW. Applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens. Funding is valued at $23,728 per annum (tax exempt) for up to two years.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Renal Medicine
Funding is available for a full-time qualified candidate with a Bachelor Degree of Medicine, FRACP and at least 2 years core training in Nephrology and interested in studying kidney diseases. Students should have experience in renal medicine and be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens. Funding is valued at $35,329 per annum (tax exempt) for up to three years.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Telecommunications
A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate to undertake industry guided multi-disciplinary research studies leading to a PhD in wireless engineering. The project is to investigate the application of linear algebra, optimization concepts and machine learning techniques into wireless Smart Grid access networks. Applicants should have at least 2nd upper honours in electrical engineering and must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens. Funding is valued at $27,651 per annum for up to three years.
