Research Scholarships
CIRUS Postgraduate Medical Research Scholarships - Interdisciplinary Sleep Health Research 2012
The Centre of Integrated Research and Understanding of Sleep (CIRUS) is an interdisciplinary centre of clinical research excellence funded by the NHMRC and supports world-class research aimed to inform clinical practice and alter health policy; PhD scholarships are available for research that will be supervised or co-supervised by CIRUS investigators at participating institutions; applicants must be an Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents a New Zealand citizens; valued at the equivalent NHMRC scholarship rates; up to two years only.

Korean Studies Association of Australasia (KSAA)
The Korea Foundation (KF) offers KF Postgraduate Studies Fellowship for research students in Australia and New Zealand; applicants must be enrolled (or to be enrolled) in a research degree (Research Masters or PhD) in a subject related to Korea in 2011 at a University in Australia or New Zealand, and Korean citizens are excluded unless they have permanent residency of a foreign country; $20,000pa.

Other Scholarships
National Library of Australia (NLA) Japan Study Grants
The purpose of the grants is to support research by scholars based outside the Canberra area who wish to use the National Library's Japanese collections for their study; offered for periods of up to four weeks and support travel to Canberra and living costs; open to postgraduates, honours students, academic staff or independent researchers in Australia who wish to use the Japan-related collections of the National Library for their research; applicants must be resident in Australia; the grant includes an honorarium to cover accommodation and living costs in Canberra, a return economy class air fare for travel between the grant holder's home within Australia to Canberra, and library resources including photocopying, desk space and book stack access.

The Royal Society of NSW Scholarships
Applications for The Royal Society of New South Wales Scholarships are sought from candidates working in a science related field within NSW or the ACT; applicants must be Australian citizens or Permanent Residents of Australia and enrolled as research students within NSW or the ACT; valued at $500.
