Postgraduate Scholarship in Telecommunications
A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate to undertake industry guided multi-disciplinary research studies leading to a PhD in wireless engineering; the project is to investigate the application of linear algebra, optimization concepts and machine learning techniques into wireless Smart Grid access networks; applicants should have at least 2nd upper honours in electrical engineering and must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens; $27,651pa; up to three years.

Postgraduate Scholarships on the Ethics of Cancer Screening
Three scholarships are on offer to provide support for a full-time research project leading to a PhD; the project examines the social, historical and ethical evolution of cancer screening policies and programs; applicants should have a good Bachelors Honours degree or a Masters Degree in public health, social science, bioethics, or a related discipline, and must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens; $22,860pa in 2011; up to three years.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Occupational Therapy Home Discharge Planning
A postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate to undertake research studies leading to a PhD; the research will examine a range of functional outcome measures used in discharge planning in relation to functional dependence; applicants should have an Honours 1 degree in occupational therapy and must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, or New Zealand citizens; $23,728pa; up to two years.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Medieval and Early Modern Studies
A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate to undertake research leading to a PhD in Medieval and Early Modern Studies; the project is to investigate attitudes towards death expressed by medieval and/or early modern writers, with a particular focus on the writings of condemned prisoners facing execution; applicants should have an Honours degree with an appropriate major and must be Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents; $26,000pa; up to three years.
