Research Scholarships

 

Postgraduate Scholarship in CFD modelling of Heat and Moisture Exchanger
(HME)

A scholarship is available for a MPhil student in the field of CFD
modelling of Heat and Moisture Exchanger (HME); the project aims to
develop a 3D numerical model of the Heat and Moisture Exchanger (HME)
used in anesthesiology and intensive care; applicants must be Australian
citizens or permanent residents of Australia, have an outstanding degree
in mechanical engineering with specialisation thermal and fluid
mechanics, be enrolled or enroll in a MPhil degree at the University of
Sydney, have a strong knowledge of CFD with the application in heat and
mass transfer, have more than 3 years industrial work experience and be
familiar with software packages of CFX and FLUENT; $18,000pa; up to one
year.

Clinical Research and Training Opportunities - Interdisciplinary Sleep
Health Research

A scholarship is available in the field of Sleep Health Research; the
project will research metabolic health and sleep disorders and create
new biomarkers of sleep health; these fellowships offer sleep medicine
training for a range of clinical specialties including respiratory,
neurology, endocrinology, cardiology, ENT surgery, psychiatry or
dentistry and may also be available for suitable applicants from
non-medical disciplines including nursing, pharmacy, psychology,
physiotherapy or other allied health fields;

Overseas Scholarships

 

The Charlie Perkins Scholarships

Applications for the Charlie Perkins Scholarships are now open; these
scholarships are particularly directed towards Indigenous Australians
who have the potential to become leaders in their field of study and in
their communities and will support two talented Indigenous Australians
to study at the University of Oxford or the University of Cambridge for
up to three years.

Heart Foundation Summer Scholarships

The National Heart Foundation of Australia offers Summer Scholarships to
provide undergraduates the opportunity to participate in supervised
Biomedical, Clinical or Public Health research projects which are
broadly related to cardiovascular function and disease, during the
summer vacation at an Australian University or Institution; applicants
must be Australian citizens on permanent residents and must be based in
Australia; tenable for six to eight weeks and are valued at up to
$2,000.

Summer Scholarships at the National Library of Australia

Applications are now open for Summer Scholarships at the National
Library; for the first six weeks of every year, the scholarships allow
up to 4 postgraduate students to immerse themselves in the Library's
rich Australian collection and other collections to support their
research.
