As you know the Bulletin is changing. We are still working to produce a Bulletin that meets your needs most effectively. Thank you to those people who have provided feedback. Ultimately, access to the database of funding opportunities will be made available to all recipients of the current Bulletin. We have begun to train the RSOs at the local level who will be able to provide support once access is available to you.

MEDIA SKILLS FOR RESEARCHERS WORKSHOP
Learning solutions is running a workshop on Media Skills for Researchers, to be facilitated by Associate Professor Michael Anderson.
The aim of this workshop is to help you understand how using the media effectively can make a significant difference to the public understanding of your research. You will also learn to use the internal resources of the University more effectively, prepare you to take your message to the community through the print media, radio and television and will review the potential for using new media.

The Australian Respiratory Council (ARC) is seeking to award several one-year research grants of approximately $50,000 each in 2011. To be eligible, you must have submitted an NHMRC Project Grant for funding in 2011. Offers will be made on the basis of merit to those applicants who did not make the cut-off for NHMRC funding.

Grass fellowship in neuroscience
Grass Foundation
The foundation encourages independent research by investigators early in their careers and increases research opportunities for persons planning careers in neurobiological investigation. International Association for Dental Research and American Association for Dental Research

Empower postdoctoral fellowships
Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology
