Title:

International Collaborative Research Grants

Description:

The International Collaborative Research Grant (ICRG) supports
international research collaborations between two or more qualified
scholars, where the principal investigators bring different and
complementary perspectives, knowledge, and/or skills to the project.
Priority will be given to those applications that make a strong case for
a balanced collaboration between the applicant and co-applicant/s in all
aspects of the research: fieldwork, analysis, and eventual publication.
By encouraging international collaborations, the grant contributes to
the development of an international anthropology that values and
incorporates different national perspectives and resources. By providing
training funds, the grant helps to build capacity in countries were
anthropology may be under-resourced.

Eligibility:

Each researcher must hold a doctorate or equivalent qualification in
anthropology or a related discipline.

Amount awarded:

The grants are for a maximum of US$30,000 for the research project.

Application guide:

Indirect cost recovery:

This scheme is exempt from University of Sydney indirect costs.

care practice in specific priority areas.

Priority areas are:

*	Person centred care;
*	Advance care planning;
*	Support for carers;
*	Timely diagnosis of dementia;
*	Non-pharmacological approaches to managing behavioural symptoms

Title:

Individual Research Grants Program

Description:

This Individual Research Grants overview details the funding priorities
and procedures of the CDRF. Funding Priorities include:

*	Studying strategies that may promote neuronal growth and
survival, encourage the formation of synapses, enhance the production of
myelin, restore conduction capabilities, or may otherwise lead to
restoration of the compromised circuitry in the acutely and chronically
injured spinal cord.
*	Evaluating the efficacy of drugs or other interventions that
protect against secondary neuronal injury or provide insight into the
mechanisms causing such damage.
*	Defining anatomical characteristics of spinal cord injury in
well-defined animal models and in the human spinal cord, specifically
documenting the neuronal systems that are most vulnerable to spinal cord
injury and the functional losses occurring as a result.
*	Elucidating the biological mechanisms underlying approaches to
improve concomitant functions affected by spinal cord injury, (e.g.,
bladder function, sexual function) and alleviate chronic pain and
spasticity.

Eligibility:

Applications will be accepted only from those with a PhD, MD, or other
equivalent professional degree, employed at a qualifying research
institution.

Amount awarded:

Two-year awards are available for senior scientists and young
investigators with a maximum funding level of US$75,000 per year.
