Applicants are reminded that the Research Office deadline for NHMRC
Research Fellowships and Practitioner Fellowships is 22 January 2010
Applicants should be mindful that the application process has changed
significantly for 2011 and therefore it is important to read the NHMRC
Funding Policy and Advice and Instructions to Applicants documents
thoroughly. These documents can be found at website:
http://www.nhmrc.gov.au/grants/apply/career/index.htm
The information below summarises the important elements of the new
application process.
General enquires can be directed to Mr Chris Robinson on: 8627 8102 or
via email to: chris.robinson at sydney.edu.au
The Application Process
Submissions for both Research and Practitioner Fellowships in 2010 for
funding in 2011 will be via a new web-based submission process called
"Research Grant Management System" (RGMS). It is strongly advised that
you access the new system and start compiling your CV and Profile as
soon as possible.
Grant Application ID
The on-line Project Grant application will automatically generate an ID
for the application, therefore you don't need to request a Project Grant
ID number from the Research Office.
Username and ID to access RGMS
Current grant holders and applicants on system:
If you are currently named on an NHMRC grant or you have made an
application to the NHMRC in the last two years you will be on their
system and you will soon receive your username and password by email.
When you initiate the username and password you will be prompted to
insert a current NHMRC grant ID.
If you do not have a current NHMRC grant ID, please email
RGMS at nhmrc.gov.au and they will issue you with a code that can be used
in place of the 'Current NHMRC Grant ID'.
New users:
If you are not on their system you will need to register.
Go to - http://www.nhmrc.gov.au/grants/RGMS/
<http://www.nhmrc.gov.au/grants/RGMS/>
The click on prompt - > To access RGMS please click here
<http://www.rgms.nhmrc.gov.au>
This will take you to the main Research Grants management System (RGMS)
login page.
Follow the "New User Request" prompt - accepted the Disclaimer and fill
in the "User Profile" details as requested. This will allow you to
request a new username and password.
The Submission Process
Having completed your application, please save, download a hard-copy and
send it to Mr Chris Robinson in the Research Office by 22 January 2010.
Feedback will follow with instructions on how to make your final
submission.
Good luck!
