Association for International Cancer Research- Project Grants

Introduction: AICR awards project grants of between one and three years to support fundamental and translational research into the causes, mechanisms, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer. We will consider proposals in which a mixture of basic and clinical research is proposed. However, completely clinical applications, such as intervention studies, clinical trials or health care delivery research and many substantially clinical applications are beyond the remit of AICR.

Eligibility: The main applicant should normally have a PhD and, at the time they would take up the grant, sufficient experience to suggest they can conduct independent research, (e.g. at least three years post-doctoral work) or, for clinical applicants, a similar level of qualification and experience.

Amount Awarded: Most of the grants we award are between £100,000 and £200,000 over three years.

Indirect Cost Recovery: This scheme is subject to University of Sydney indirect costs.
