2011 Discovery Projects is now open in RMS. The USyd instructions and
advice for applicants will be available on the Research Office website
after 3pm today

 

Discovery Project Eligibility Exemption Request 

 

The ARC funding rules describe situations in which an Eligibility
Exemption Ruling Request form must be submitted to the ARC as part of
the funding application process. Situations that may require an
exemption from the ARC for Discovery Projects relate to eligibility of
fellowship candidates only. 

 

Clarified and elaborated definition of Medical and Dental Research

Eligibility Exemption advice is not available for Medical and Dental
Research. The Australian Research Council (ARC) has developed a
clarified and elaborated definition of Medical and Dental Research to
assist applicants in determining whether their research constitutes
these specific areas of research. This has been developed in
consultation with the National Health and Medical Research Council and
our stakeholders. The new definition is available on the ARC website at
http://www.arc.gov.au/applicants/md_research.htm.

RMS, and by the deadline of 15 January 2010.
