[Research Grants]

ARC's Research Management System (RMS) will be used to submit all
Discovery Projects (DP) applications

 

If you intend to submit a proposal for funding in 2010 it is our very
strong recommendation that you update your RMS profile NOW.  It is
essential your profile is up to date as this information will be used to
auto populate the application form.

 

Logging into RMS

 

The ARC will contact you on the email address stored in GAMS. If you
have changed email addresses please contact rms at arc.gov.au to advise
your new contact details.

Browsers: RMS supports IE6, IE7, and Firefox 2.0+

 

Please note that active links in emails sent from RMS will expire in 2
hours

 

Existing GAMS Users

If you had a GAMS user account prior to January 2009, your GAMS ID and
profile have been copied to RMS. Your RMS User ID will be the same as
your GAMS ID with all letters capitalised- the password has been
cleared.  Request a new password on the following link:

The ARC will send an email with further instructions. If you do not
receive the email please check your spam email box, or email
rms at arc.gov.au for assistance.  

 

If you get a message saying that your account is inactive, please advise
the ARC by emailing: rms at arc.gov.au 

 

Lost user IDs 

If you cannot remember your user name you can request a reminder email
from the RMS by entering your email address here:

New Users

Create your own RMS ID by completing all information on the following
link: https://rms.arc.gov.au/RMSExternal/pages/requestNewAccount.jsf 

 

Select the University of Sydney as the organisation that will administer
your RMS account and as your current principal affiliation.

 

Participants from other Australian universities should liaise with their
respective Research Office. 

 

Updating your personal details

 

The following sections must be updated in order to populate your
application.

 

Update your Citizenship:

 

My Details > Personal Details > Citizenship - then add / remove as
required

 

 

Update your employment history: 

 

My Details > Personal Details > Organisation Details > - then add new
position /edit as required  

 

Please ensure you tick the 'Position is currently held' box on your
current appointment.

You should include relevant appointments for the last 10 years as this
will be required for the application.

 

Update your Qualifications:

 

My Details > Classification Details > Classification Details >
Qualification Details - then add/edit/delete as required

 

The ARC has used information previously provided so you may find your
qualifications appear more than once.  

 

Update your Contact Details:

 

My Details > Contact Details

 

Information on each tab must be up to date for your application to
validate.
