NHMRC PROGRAM GRANTS - APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDING COMMENCING 2011

 

The Research Portfolio has organized the following seminar to provide
support to those preparing NHMRC Program Grant applications for funding
commencing in 2011 or in the future application rounds.

 

WHEN and WHERE: 

 

Friday 8th May 1-3 pm

 

Venue: Conference Room 614, Level 6, Jane Foss Russell Building, the
University of Sydney.

 

The Seminar will cover the following:

 

 

*                    A Panel Perspective

 

Professor Robyn Norton will provide an overview of the Program Grant
Scheme and a personal insight into the peer review process and some
guidance in structuring your application.

 

*                    Writing an NHMRC Program Grant application

 

Mr Tim Haydon, external consultant with experience in scientific
writing, will lead a discussion aimed at giving practical suggestions on
grant writing. This will include an overview on how to structure your
application for your audience i.e. the panel and getting the message
across.
