GENERAL NEWS
PLEASE NOTE: The University of Sydney now has a simplified flat rate,
35%, Indirect Cost Recovery Fee policy. 20% of the revenue will be
returned the Schools and 15% will be retained centrally.
The new policy is effective as of 1st September 2007, however, a limited
transitional period will be in place so that the old Overheads rate will
continue to be applied in agreements that are currently in the process
of negotiation and are signed before the end of 2007. As previously,
Category 1 grants (e.g. ARC and NHMRC) and certain grants from
charitable agencies (e.g. NSW Cancer Council) are exempt.
