The University of Sydney - Sir Zelman Cowen Universities Fund
The University of Sydney and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem have
established an agreement to encourage mutual visits by academic staff.
Visits by post-doctoral fellows and academic staff of the University of
Sydney to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem will be considered for
support from the Sir Zelman Cowen Universities Fund. Applications for
support are invited from all disciplines and will be ranked on academic
merit. Preference will be given to projects in the area of Semitic
Studies.

Australian Vegetable and Potato Growers - Vegie' Conference 2006 to
launch 'New Vision'

about uniting the industry under a single vision or strategy that will
outline the changes required for a successful future,"

industry and will stipulate what is required for the industry to once

Horticulture Australia Limited - General Call for Research and
Development proposals
 
Introduction to Funding Opportunity: This General Call from Horticulture
Australia Limited (HAL) is for R&D proposals supported by voluntary
contributions seeking Australian Government matching funds. All
proposals must identify the source of the voluntary contributions.
In-kind contributions are not matchable by HAL. 

Proposals are sought that address one or all of the following:

* HAL's strategic directions (see website) 
* Strategic research 
* Issues that affect all of horticulture as opposed to individual
industries

International Association for the Study of Pain - 2006 Call for
Applications
 
Introduction to Funding Opportunity: The purpose of these grants is to
encourage and support collaborative research between two or more
research groups located in different countries.
Eligibility: The investigator in charge of the overall project must be a
member of IASP of at least one year standing.
Amount awarded: US $10,000

National Archives of Australia - Frederick Watson Fellowship
 
Introduction to Funding Opportunity: The National Archives offers
Frederick Watson Fellowships annually to individuals interested in
conducting research substantially utilising its collection.
One of the National Archives' key functions is to encourage and
facilitate the use of its collection by promoting archival research in
Australia and encouraging scholarly use of its holdings. The National
Archives is committed to assisting the completion of innovative and
quality research projects that are significant for Australian Audiences
Eligibility: Successful applicants will have scholarly credentials
preferably with a doctorate related to their intended area of research.
Amount awarded: The National Archives will provide a grant of up to
$15,000 - please see website for more information

Cancer Institute of NSW - Psycho-oncology Clinical Fellowships 2006
 
Introduction to Funding Opportunity: The Cancer Institute NSW is pleased
to announce up to five Psycho-oncology Clinical Fellowships

. These are designed to provide a year for experienced psycho-oncology
health professionals (clinical psychologists or social workers) to
undertake further education, training and research to contribute to
patient care in NSW.
