Research Office Special Bulletin - AIATSIS 2005 Research Grants 

The Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
Studies (AIATSIS) is now calling for applications for the Research
Grants Program 2005. 

The closing date for applications is 16 December 2004. All applicants
will be informed of the success or otherwise of their grant applications
in July 2005. Funding for successful applicants will be available from
August 2005. 

The Research Grants Program 2005 will fund research into a wide range of
research areas in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies, such as
history (including family and community history), politics, law, public
policy, health (social, cultural and environmental aspects), biological
sciences, education, linguistics, social anthropology, archaeology and
the arts. 

This scheme is exempt from the University of Sydney Overheads charge.
