Are you an informed parent?  Next in the Parents Network's series of lunchtime talks for staff,  Associate Professor Rosina McAlpine-Mladenovic, from the Business School, shares insights from her new book "Inspired Children: how the leading minds of today raise their kids" published by Sydney University Press.



Parents naturally love and care for their children, but parenting requires more than just love. Informed parenting requires knowledge and understanding of the changing physical, emotional and intellectual development of children as they grow into young adults. This talk explores some of the latest research on raising happy, healthy and successful children and provides short practical activities to turn the science of child development into the art of parenting.



Internationally recognised for her contribution to accounting education and research, Associate Professor McAlpine-Mladenovic<http://sydney.edu.au/business/staff/rosinam> also has qualifications in life coaching and neurolinguistic programming,and is the founder of the Inspired Children Program<http://www.inspiredchildren.com/index.php>.
