Background:

The world in which we live can be visually beautiful, supplying us
with our daily needs: air, water, minerals and oil, to name just a
few. However, there are also destructive elements at work, producing
earthquakes, tsunamis and other large natural disasters. Aside from
discussing the physics of extreme natural hazards, the talk will
describe some of the terrible consequences.

regards

Kaye
