[GPlates-discuss] how to best construct and calculate a plate circuit

Good day
I need to calculate total reconstruction poles from a plate model using my
own code and am hoping that somebody might have sketched out the best
methodology in an understandable way so that I down need to develop it
myself from scratch, nor try to work through somebody else's detailed code.
The main complexity is dealing with multiple intermediate reconstruction
poles where both reference plates and their ages do not coincide with the
age of interest for the plate at the top of the circuit. I am also
interested to know what is the best data structure to store details in as
once constructs the total reconstruction pole for the plate and time of
interest.

I know that this should be quite easy once John and the GPlates crew have a
Python interface to the GPlates API but I need to do it soonish to help me
in designing a Palaeoproterozoic plate model.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
