[http://www.crc.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/image/0018/18405/uws_photo_professor.jpg]Professor Andrew Markus holds the Pratt Foundation Research Chair of Jewish Civilisation at Monash University and is a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia.

He has published extensively on Australian immigration and race relations. His recent publications include the co-authored Australia’s Immigration Revolution (2009) and Immigration and Nation Building: Australia and Israel Compared (2010).

Andrew heads the Scanlon Foundation Mapping Social Cohesion national research program, which will be conducting its fifth national survey in 2012.

He arrived in Australia as a refugee and has a long standing interest in asylum issues.

Travelling by train

Take the Carlingford line to Rydalmere railway station, which is next to the campus. Information about the Sydney rail system and timetables are available from the Cityrail website<http://www.cityrail.info/>.



Travelling by bus

Sydney Bus Routes 520, 523 and 524 and Metro Bus M52 operate between Parramatta railway station and the campus. For more information and timetables, please see the Sydney Buses website<http://www.sydneybuses.info/>.



Travelling by car

Enter the campus from Victoria Road. If travelling via the M4 Western Motorway take the James Ruse Drive exit.

Paid parking is available on Parramatta South campus at the daily cost of $8.00. There is also paid parking available on Parramatta north campus, with a free shuttle service which runs every 10-15mins between 6.30am and 10.30pm

on weekdays between the campuses.
