The 2009 CDIO conference, which deals with engineering education, will be
held in Singapore. Participating universities include MIT; U.S. Naval
Academy; Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden; University of Sydney;
University of Liverpool; Technical University of Denmark; Queen's
University, Canada and Tsinghua University, China.

We would like to invite interested professors and lecturers to submit
papers or attend the conference.

5th International CDIO Conference
"Reframing Engineering Education: Impact and Future Direction"
June 7 - 10, 2009

The CDIOג„¢ INITIATIVE (www.cdio.org) is an innovative educational framework
for producing the next generation of engineers. It provides students with
an education stressing engineering fundamentals set in the context of
Conceiving - Designing - Implementing - Operating real-world systems and
products.

The CDIO Conference provides a platform for universities throughout the
world that are collaborating in the CDIO Initiative, and others interested
in transforming engineering education, to exchange ideas and experiences,
and review developments at each university. This 5th International CDIO
Conference will focus on the global impact of the CDIO initiatives on
engineering education and reframing its future directions. Effective
practices in curriculum implementation will be showcased.
