Dear folks

CDIO activities are taking off in a number of schools in Australia

The University of Sydney is adopting CDIO. Elec and Info Eng (my school)
is already implementing perts of it. Aero, Mech and Mechatronic Eng, and
Civil Eng are considering it .

Schools at which I am aware that there are activties include
School of Engineering Systems, Queensland University of Technology
Electrical, Electronic & Computer Engineering, University of Southern
Queensland
Division of Chemical Engineering University of Queensland
School of Engineering and Information Technology, Deakin University
Faculty Of Engineering, University of Melbourne
Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, University of New South Wales

It would be great if people leading cdio activities at their schools
would send out a brief summary of what they are doing.

Roger Hadgraft, Chair of the AAEE, plans to have a CDIO session and
perhaps a workshop at the AAEE conf at the end of 2008. Start thinking
about coming. Roger also wants to set up a CDIO SIG in the AAEE.

We had a useful CDIO Q&A session at the Carrick Conf after Ed Crawley's
talk and 10 people came along.

So things are ticking along

Haven't heard much about CDIO from NZ recently. I hope some NZ people
will come to the CDIO session at the AAEE conf and perhaps also let us
know what is going on at their Schools

Don't forget the conference in Ghent and the Collaborator's meeting at
Arizona State: http://www.cdio.org/meetings/index.html

Best regards

Dave
