CSIRO, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research
Organisation, is Australia's national science agency and
one of the largest and most diverse research agencies in
the world.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly capable
bioinformatician/statistician to advance our analysis of
large biological datasets. The successful candidate will
be part of the CSIRO Preventative Health National Research
Flagship's activities in Neurodegenerative diseases,
mental disorders and brain health.
You will work at the interface of molecular & clinical
biology and the information sciences to increase insights
obtainable from high-throughput measurement platforms from
medical research. This will involve close collaboration
with biological scientists working on early diagnostics
for Alzheimer's disease, and molecular markers in stroke.
This position is for a team player, an innovative thinker
and an excellent communicator, and is an exciting
opportunity to work closely with leading researchers
within our multidisciplinary team consisting of skills in
statistics, molecular biology, bioinformatics and clinical
diagnostics.
