NCIRS-NIDMA --

About NCIRS-NIDMA
English (USA)

This group has been created to facilitate communication, peer-support and collaboration between people involved in mathematical modelling of infectious diseases. It is an initiative of Network of Infectious Diseases Modellers of Australia (NIDMA), made possible by a National Health and Medical Research Council Capacity Building Grant (CBG) in Population Health for Modelling of Infectious Diseases. The group is open to anyone in Australia and other countries with an interest in mathematical modelling of infectious diseases.

The group is a private group, chiefly for professionals and academics involved in infectious diseases modelling.

This mail list discussion group was set up by the National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance of Vaccine Preventable Diseases (NCIRS), a member of the CBG. Opinions expressed on this mail list are not necessarily those of the Centre.

Those people wanting to join this list must be willing to state clearly who they are, where they work and what their involvement with research into infectious diseases modelling is. (This is necessary to prevent inappropriate messages such as unsolicited commercial e-mail eg spam from being sent to the group.)

NCIRS will keep a watching brief on messages and will provide additional information where it is thought to be useful. In the interests of open and rapid communication, it will not be possible to screen all discussion content.

NCIRS will also regularly circulate items of interest to all members. Members will have the option to receive only news items or digests.

As the digest-mode does not handle attachments very well, we have decided to restrict all messages to text only ie. no attachments allowed. However, a subscriber can point the mailing list to a website URL where a PDF or Word doc exists.

To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the NCIRS-NIDMA Archives. (The current archive is only available to the list members.)
